Services
Olds Association for Community Living provides the following services:
Residential Individualized Service
With funding in place from Disability Services, the Individual is able to establish, along with the agency, what type of service is needed and desired. The individual will be given the opportunity to make some choices in regard to who they want to have as a roommate(s).
Residential Individualized Service funding is very dependent on the involvement of the family. The Individual and their family or guardian will play and active role in securing a home and service suitable to the Individual.
Proprietorship Service
With funding in place from Disability Services, the Individual will be given the opportunity to meet potential proprietors and decide with whom they would like to live.

The Individual and their family or guardian will play an active role in securing a home and service suitable to the Individual.
Respite Support
Respite support (in-home or out-of-home) for Individuals who need or desire temporary breaks from primary caregivers.

Respite placement will meet or maintain the needs of the Individuals in the areas of personal management, home management, personal wellness and social interaction.
Supported Employment / Volunteer Work Experience
The Individual, in conjunction with an Employment Training Specialist, will work through a series of interest and skill assessments to determine which areas of employment are suitable. The Specialist then conducts a job search and matches the Individual to a suitable position.  A Job Coach is then trained to do the required job and, in turn, trains the Individual. The length of time that the Job Coach spends with the Individual is totally dependent on the needs of the Individual. The ultimate goal is for the Individual to hold the position independently.
Community Access
Community Access is made up of serveral programs to meet the different needs and abilities of the Individual. These can include but are not limited to: the use of computers, improvements in reading, writing ability, math skills, home safety, health & wellness and street safety.

The Community Access Program is flexible with the changing needs of the Individual. Any major changes in the Program will be discussed and approved by the Individual and the parent or guardian.
Family Involvement & Follow-Up
Input and suggestions from families are always encouraged and appreciated. Families/guardians are kept informed of what and how the Individual is doing on a regular basis. Support and interest from the families is essential for the Individual to reach their potential.

Families/guardians and/or Individuals may request that programming and services be reviewed at any time.
